Held in Pitshanger Park at the end of June each year, Party In The Park is the PCA's main Summer community event. Party in the Park is essentially a garden fete, but on a grand scale, and has the twin purposes of bringing the Pitshanger community together and raising funds for PCA projects and other local causes.
This event has lots of offer for a very modest entry by programme of £2 per adult, free for kids. We start the day at 1pm with a full programme on the Open Air Stage enjoying music and dance acts by local schools and other groups and continue to 9pm with live music in the beer tent.
Hunger and thirst are kept at bay by the Gastrodome, where local restauranteurs vie for your custom offering a range of BBQ, Hog Roast, Pimms, Strawberries & Cream and Asian cuisine or enjoy a traditional cream tea at the old fashioned Café. Visit the Beer Tent whilst enjoying the live music which continues throughout the evening. We offer lots of other delicious food and drinks for grown-ups and kids.
Browse in the Arts & Crafts Village with over 50 stalls offering everything from Indian massage to candyfloss, arts, crafts, plants and other activities.
Other regular attractions include a magnificent Carousel and the Arena which plays host to a variety of fun activities including a dog show and tug of war. Throughout the day, junior football teams battle it out on pitches adjacent to the Party In The Park showground. Let the kids loose on the climbing wall or mini-go karts and numerous other attractions around the site.
Bring a picnic, your friends and your family and enjoy hours of entertainment on hopefully a sunny June afternoon. And finally, buy raffle tickets and have a chance of the £500 cash prize!
PIP 2013 will take place on Sunday 30th June.
