The Pitshanger Fun Run |
|
The Pitshanger Fun Run was first held in 2005.
Repeat performances each year since have placed
this event firmly in the sporting and social
calendar for the Pitshanger area. There are two
Fun Run
courses - 5km for the more athletic (13+), and 2.5km
for children, walkers/joggers of all ages, dogs and
anyone who can't quite face the prospect of 5km.
Both courses start in Pitshanger Lane and end in
Pitshanger Park. |

Fun Run 2010 |
|
The 2010 Fun Run took place on 9th May. A band
of heavy rain blew through during set-up, leaving
the day a little cool for spectators but perfect for
running. A record 345 people finished the two
courses in 2010. Notable results this year
included a win in the Men's 5k for Sebastien
Zajackowski after four successive 2nd places (and
before that a win in the U13 2.5k), triple success
for the Board Family, and a win by Alan Lloyd in the
new "Silver Zimmer" Over 55 Category. |
