LUTL 2006 - 2nd December - 5pm to
8.30pm |
|
Light Up The Lane 2006 will take place in Pitshanger
Lane on Saturday 2nd December. Organised as
usual by the PCA in cooperation with the Pitshanger
Traders, Light Up The Lane will kick off at 5pm and
run through to 8.30pm. The big switch-on will
take place at 6.30pm. (Hint - veteran Dr Who
fans should make a special effort to attend). |
 |
|
Expect all the usuals – mulled wine, mince pies,
samosas, fire eaters, stilt walkers and the rest –
plus a few things you may not have seen before.
Music will take centre stage (twice!) as the Main
Stage finale will be a showcase of the talent
unearthed in the Pitzhanga Popstar competition held
at Party In The Park whilst the Duffy’s Stage will
feature rock’n’blues from the Buick Hill Band and
the Trinidadian tones of St Benedict’s Samba Band. |
 |
|
Programmes will be on sale on the night for only £1.
The programme will provide a map of the event plus
details of where to find the various attractions,
the full running order for both stages and a list of
this year's tree sponsors. There is a preview
of the programme available for download
here. |
 |
|
As usual, traffic diversions will be in place for
Light Up The Lane, starting at 3pm and ending at
9pm. A map showing full details of the road
closures, bus diversions and parking restrictions is
available for download
here. Residents may of course move their
vehicles in and out of the area at any time, but
should note that Pitshanger Lane itself, between
Curzon Road and Lindfield Road, will be exclusively
for pedestrians. |
