Pitshanger Party In The Park 2006 will take place on
Sunday 25th June. Never mind the World
Cup - we've had a word with Sven to make sure
England don't meet Germany in the quarter finals!
Get on down to Pitshanger Park to enjoy the many
attractions on offer or simply to soak up the
atmosphere (and hopefully the sun). Good news
- the magnificent antique carousel we had last year
will be back.
The big new feature this year will be the first ever
Pitzhanga Popstars competition. Local artistes
grabbed their chance of (local) fame at auditions on
10th June, before our very own equivalent of Simon
Cowell. The acts that passed the dreaded
hurdle of the auditions will vie for top spot live
on the main stage at Pitshanger Party In The Park on
Sunday 25th June.
Many favourite features will be back for PIP 2006,
including the beer tent (plus music), the gastrodome,
the dog show, a wide range of craft and general
stalls, the junior football competition, a wide
range of local acts on the main stage and a range of
sporting challenges provided by Fit For Sport.
