Registration Day

To register to take part in the singing competition your completed and signed application form must be with us by 10th May. If you wish to be part of the Stage Crew then fill out the Stage Crew application form and hand it in. You can hand it at Cinnamon Tea Shop, you can send it to popstar@pitshanger.org.uk or drop in to Cinnamon on the 10th of May and see Jenny or Sue. Forms can be downloaded here or copies are available at the following shops in Pitshanger Lane: West Kebab, Pitshanger Library, Hair Company, Stepping Out and Cinnamon

Auditions

The first auditions are on the 10th and 17th May. These will be held at the Pitshanger Methodist church Hall from 10am. You will be contacted to be told your audition slot. For the audition you will be able to sing along to a backing track. Most songs are available on the Internet and we ask that you bring a CD with the track you want to sing along to with you on the day. You can use a memory stick if that’s easier. The competition is for voice only so no musical instruments will be allowed.

Semi-Finals

The top five plus one reserve in each category will qualify for he Semi-final event to be held on Sunday 15th June at The Brentham Club. You will perform your song to our judges and to an audience on the night.  The Winner from each group will go through to the Final.

PopStar Final

The final will be held at Party in the Park 08 on Sunday 29th June in the Music Marquee. Each Category winner will sing and the judges will choose the winner.  There will be prizes for all who get through and the PopStar winner will get the chance to record their winning song in a recording studio.
