Volunteers Required for Light up the Lane 2014

We need your help on Sunday 30th November 2014

Light up the Lane cannot take place without the hard and dedicated efforts of an army of volunteers who give up their time to help put on this fantastic community event. Can you spare some time to help out this year in any of the following roles?

Set Up
Volunteers are needed to set up fences, marquees, gazebos and move tables & chairs into position on Pitshanger Lane on Friday, Sunday and Monday with the majority of the work taking place on Sunday. After the event, the road will need to be cleared and made ready for traffic. Can you work on one of the following three hour shifts and be part of this hard-working team? 

Friday 28th November10am – 1pmReceive deliveries, move tables and weights (heavy lifting required)Three Spaces
Sunday 30th November9am – 12pmSet up marquees, move tables & chairs (whilst the road is OPEN to traffic)One Space
1pm – 4pmSet up marquees, stage, tables & chairs (whilst the road is CLOSED to traffic)FULL
7pm – 10pmClean-up team to dismantle gazebos, stage, tables & chairs and roadblocksTwo Spaces
Monday 1st December10am – 1pmCollection of tables and weights (heavy lifting required)Three Spaces

Marshalls required to direct traffic safely around the road blocks in the Pitshanger area from 12noon - 10pm. Each shift is 2 hours long. (If you feel that two hours is too long for you, please still get in touch and let us know what you can offer. Perhaps we can organise shorter shifts if necessary. Any offer of help is appreciated)

Volunteers needed to sell raffle tickets on Sunday 30th November. Each shift is 1 hour long.

Volunteers needed to help with stage security and safety. Each shift is 2 hours long.
