Butterfly Garden

You may have seen the groundwork in progress for the re-development of the disused bowling green in the park into a new garden area.  One loose end from the project was the border between the active and disused greens: the former needs a wide perimeter path to accommodate bowls apparatus and there was no money in the original project budget to cover the raising and paving of the path.  Pitshanger Bowling Green RedevelopmentFast action by the PCA, Ward Councillors and Council officers not only raised the extra money needed but also ensured that the necessary earth-moving could be done while the Council’s contractors were still on site working on the new garden.  The PCA has contributed an additional £1,000 to the work and the Cleveland Ward Forum £1,250.
