Only a week to go and we’re already getting ourselves overexcited! Don’t forget the event is now on the Sunday, 25th November, from 4 till 7 pm with the switching on of the lights by our MP Steve Pound and the Mayor, Councillor Mohammad Aslam, at 5 pm.
The stage show will feature singing and dancing by local school choirs and dance studios, the pounding percussion of the St Benedict’s Samba Band, and what is fast becoming a traditional finale from the sixty-strong Ealing Rock Choir. This year we also feature the launch of a new rap, pop and hip-hop duo, A-Typical. Tipped to become the Next Big Thing, make sure you’re there to see what we hope will be the start of a stellar career.
Off-stage many shops will be open, some serving festive fare such as mulled wine, mince pies and samosas. We’ll have the Christmas covered market where you can pick up presents and other Christmas goodies, strolling street entertainers, the one true Father Christmas complete with sleigh and elves, and a fusillade of fireworks to mark the start of our Pitshanger Christmas. Pick up a free programme on the night to check timings.
