As ever, the biggest summer date to note in your diaries is Party In The Park, which will take place this year on Sunday 30th June. This event is run by a group of volunteers, and there are always opportunities to help in a wide variety of ways, from programme sales, site set-up and clear-down, pulling pints in the beer tent, assisting the stage manager and the list goes on. If you could spare some time to help this year, please contact Mike Fox at mike [dot] fox [at] pitshanger [dot] org [dot] uk (subject: Party%20In%20The%20Park%202013) . We’re also looking for four five-minute acts to entertain the crowds whilst we switch one main act for another. So if you are a juggler or a poet, a whizz at football keepy-uppy, a balladeer or whatever (use your imagination) and fancy five minutes of fame, please get in touch with our stage manager Jane Arnold-Forster on 07775 704670 or jane [dot] arnold-forster [at] pitshanger [dot] org [dot] uk (subject: Party%20In%20The%20Park%202013) .
Other upcoming dates include the St Barnabas Annual Plant Sale on the 11th May from 09:30 to 11:30 - proceeds to be shared with Breadline Africa – and the St Barnabas Rose Fair on Saturday 22nd June. A little later in the year, we will be holding another of our popular PCA tea parties for senior members. We don’t have a date yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
