Andrew in Africa

For sixty years a number of Christian and other charities have helped to build and run the rural hospital of St Francis, Katete, in the eastern part of Zambia.  Much has been achieved, but there’s still a lot more to do – as an indicator life expectancy at birth in Zambia currently stands at 46 years compared to around 80 years in the UK.  Answering a call for help with urgent maintenance, Andrew Dixon, known to many as the PCA’s lighting engineer, has donned his safari hat and packed his toolkit, and will be heading out to Katete in September.  You can find out more about what Andrew will be doing in Katete and support his efforts via JustGiving here and there is more information about the hospital here.
