Pitshanger Parking Petition Update…

8th April 2026
Thank you to all those 2537 people who signed our petition about Stop and Shop - much appreciated.  We'd hoped to present this to a meeting of the Council but with the local elections looming, there's no suitable meeting time prior.  More importantly, we do feel that the consultation on Stop and Shop was flawed and the results ignored by the Council.  We've looked at examples of other parking related consultations where a big majority objected and found at least three where the Council did take account of the weight of objections and changed its proposals as a result.

You can read our complaint here and a summary of the email and responses from the council so far is here.

Will keep you posted

Despite the overall majority of residents and Traders objecting to Ealing Council’s proposed parking restrictions, the Council have gone ahead anyway and imposed them as of December last year. These restrictions are already having a detrimental affect on both residents and Traders and therefore the PCA has launched a petition asking Ealing council to reverse the new regulations.
