“Stop & Shop” Proposals
Ealing Council are proposing changes to current parking arrangements on Pitshanger Lane which involves converting all free parking spaces, both “stop & shop” or all day, to “stop & shop Plus”. Every space will only be free for 30 minutes and you will have to register your parked vehicle using the Council’s online app. From here you will be able to pay for longer periods of parking after your 30 minutes.
Pitshanger Traders negotiated a deal with Ealing Council 10 years ago which allows people sufficient time to shop, eat, browse and pamper by having a mixture of 1 and 2 hour bays, therefore also restricting the use of the residential side roads. These proposals threaten that freedom, will force parking onto neighbouring roads and will deter those who do not use smart phones or are not tech savvy from using the Lane at all.
If you wish to object, please do so by email to : trafficnotices@ealing.gov.uk and to driscollp@ealing.gov.uk by Wednesday 14th May stating the reasons for your objection and including your residential or trading address and quoting reference P004B-25. Individual objections are far more valid than a communal petition, which only counts as one objection.
